Frequently asked questions

Is my pasted text or code uploaded to any external server?
No. The Developer Copy-Paste tool runs 100% locally in your browser. No contents are logged, stored, or transmitted to any third-party database or server.
How do shareable links work?
When you click "Share Link", the content is encoded directly into the URL hash fragment. Because URL hashes are never sent across HTTP request headers, your shared snippet remains private and directly unpacks inside the recipient’s browser.
Why would I need to strip frontmatter?
Publishing platforms like Hashnode, Medium, and LinkedIn have graphical editors that treat raw YAML frontmatter (between triple dashes ---) as plain text paragraphs. Stripping it allows you to copy only the article body.
